Effective 15 September 2026. Block is a private community and commerce layer for participating residential buildings, with neighborhood features layered on top of verified building access.
Zero tolerance for abuse
Block has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Harassment, threats, bullying, hate, sexual or exploitative content, scams, dangerous activity, privacy violations and repeated unwanted contact are not permitted. Violating content may be removed and accounts may be restricted or suspended to protect the community.
Building access
You may use resident features only when you are authorized for a participating building. Do not share invitation codes or misrepresent your unit, identity, business, or building relationship.
Neighborhood scope
Some features may allow eligible content to be shared with participating buildings in a mapped neighborhood. Building-only content is not automatically widened. You are responsible for choosing the intended audience and for not sharing another person’s private information beyond the scope where it was provided.
Neighbour conduct
Use Block respectfully and lawfully. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, defraud, spam, expose private information, or post illegal, hateful, sexually exploitative, violent, or otherwise unsafe content. Follow the Community Guidelines.
Resident listings and transactions
Residents are responsible for the accuracy, legality and safety of items, food and services they offer. Unless Block explicitly says otherwise, payment is arranged directly between residents. Block is not the seller, buyer, escrow provider or guarantor of a resident transaction.
Businesses and sponsored partners
Approved businesses may appear in buildings or neighborhoods they serve and may be clearly labelled as approved, sponsored or promoted. A placement does not make a business a resident or remove the business’s responsibility for its own services, representations, licensing, pricing or customer care.
Public website
Block may publish public-safe information about neighborhoods, participating buildings, businesses, public events and the service itself. Private resident content is not made public merely because the related building belongs to a neighborhood.
Safety and moderation
Residents can report objectionable content and block abusive users. Blocking immediately hides the blocked resident and their resident-generated content from the blocker’s Block experience, prevents new direct messages, and creates a moderation notice for Block. Block may remove content, restrict accounts, suspend access, preserve relevant records, or take other reasonable action when needed for safety, integrity, legal compliance or enforcement of these terms.
Availability
Block is provided on an as-available basis. Features may change during the building-by-building and neighborhood pilot rollout. Do not use Block as a substitute for emergency services, building security, professional medical advice, or another service where delay could create danger.
Account ending
You can initiate deletion from Settings & account. Building access may also end when your verified relationship to a building ends, which may also end neighborhood access derived from that building. Certain records may be retained when reasonably required for safety, disputes, fraud prevention or legal obligations.
